Stewarts Creek Elementary School Reviews

I hate this school! The office staff and principals are horrible to deal with and all have the attitude that they dont even like kids!

I have had my kids in Stewart Creek for 3 years, and each year the school is becoming worse and worse. Since Mrs. Land has become principal she makes the school like a prison for the kids and parents. The office staff is very unfriendly and does not even greet you or acknowledge you when you come in and if you ask for email address or direct number for your child's teacher they will refuse to give that too you. I continue to ask for help for my kids and every year I am refused and they would rather your children fail and lose their self esteem before they will consider helping your kids. I am considering trying to move or pull my children from this school. The teachers my kids have had have been great but administration is difficult and unfriendly. LISD should seriously evaluate the administration.

My son had been in this school since kindergarten but we pulled him out this year. We always had outstanding teachers until last year. Communications seems to be a major problem and the staff all seems angry.

My family has been involved with Stewarts Creek for 4 years now and we are very pleased with the overall progress that seems to be taking place here. The teachers are great and care about the children very much. We have had nothing but great experiences with the staff. This is our final year at Stewarts Creek as our youngest will be attending Middle School next year. We will miss everyone.

I would like to say that Stewarts Creek Elementary is an excellent school that encourages children to learn. I moved to the neighborhood that is with in the schools boundries because I had heard many good things about the school.

I am completely unhappy with this school. I have had 3 children attend here and each year is worse than the one before. This last year has gone so badly that we are pulling our two remaining elementary children from the school. Our children are no longer safe there.

While there are a handful of excellent teachers, many seem appathetic and treat the children as though they're nuisances that get in the way of their paychecks. We have had issues with the school refusing to comply with our child's medical needs even with numerous physician instructions, and difficulty with severe bullying. The Principlal, Mrs. Land, appears sweet at first, but discourages parental involvement and refuses to work with parents in meeting the students' needs. We cannot recommend this school and are pulling our children out for their safety.

I truly enjoyed the teacher involvement with my daughter. She just completed her kindergarten year and Mrs. Hirsch made it a complete success. The level of academics is average so parents stay involved!

The teachers actually care for the kids, its like one big family. I had a teacher that has never had any of my kids stop to tell me something she saw my son do on the way to school that she thought was cute. I have made friends with several of the teachers up there and think of them more than just my child's teacher. Ms. Land was named Principal this year. I have seen many changes that she has implemented that has improved the school. Not only does she care about the teachers, she cares about the kids.

This school has the normal course of academic programs and all of them 'seem' to be pretty good. However, I have been at the school several times to be with my child and have noticed a few teachers that seem to be very angry. I tried to take it to the principal but got no where. The administration seems to be lacking in many areas.

I was quite unhappy with putting my child in this school. There were bullying issues constantly-- when my concerns were brought up to the principal, they were fluffed off with excuses, etc. Not a very pleasant experience.

I was quite pleased with this school. My daughter had some awesome teachers who truly cared for her and helped her grow both educationally and emotionally. This is a great school with awesome teachers, administrators and support staff...who could ask for anything more?
