I'm trying to find a 10+ acre plot somewhere close(no more than 3 hours out) to Dallas before summer. I want to have a self supporting(makes it's own power, water, etc..) home in the country and an apartment in the city.

I go back and forth between being a recluse and wanting time alone and going out all the time and really wanting to be around people.

I grew up poor. I've lived in Texas, Georgia, California, Louisiana and Georgia. And visited a lot more. I went to a lot of different schools. I've lived out in the woods, in the ghetto, in trailers, in cities, in nice family neighborhoods, luxury apartments, all over the place.
I had a rough life early on.

I have a copy of my genetic code and have had it interpreted by a few services. Getting your DNA analyzed is getting cheap these days.

I went the computer science route with my work, but lately I've been wanting more and more to go back to natural sciences so I've begun re-teaching myself the things required to get into bio-chemistry. I try not to have jobs. I like to do work I actually care about and enjoy, so it's more like getting paid to practice my hobby. It's been working out pretty well so far, let's see how well I do becoming a free lance bioengineer. I'm still in the mostly reading and failing at bad experiments phase, but it's happening, slowly, but surely.

I've worked in a dental office for 7 years and I absolutely love it. People think I'm crazy but I love teeth, it's the first thing that I notice about other people.

I've always had a dream of completing a marathon but running 26 miles is a little daunting. I'm currently training for a half marathon in April so at least I'll be completely half of my dream.

I love to travel although I don't get to do it as much as I like. My list of places to visit is huge but at the top is Italy, London, and Hawaii. I'm currently planning a trip to Greece next summer!

I absolutely love NASCAR! No, I don't live in a trailer and yes, I do have all of my teeth. I can't explain why I love it and if you've never been to a race then don't judge me! =)

I also have some vision problems, so I don't drive. My condition was created from brain tumor surgery on my 21st birthday, almost 7 years ago. Let's see here. I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and got out in January of 2006. I now work as an engineer during the week and a door guy at bar in dallas on Friday and Saturday nights.

Most of my fun time is during the summer months. I have a Harley and love to ride and a boat that is a blast. Life is supposed to be fun and I figure that it will be whatever I make it. So I make a solid effort to make sure that it is fun! I like to go tubing and skiing (havn't got the hang of that whole wake boarding thing yet)

As far as winter time goes I try to stay where it's warm, I hate cold weather and that's part of the reason I landed in Texas. Still a little chilly during the winter but I refuse to live any closer to the border, lol.

I'm originally from Florida, but moved to Texas early in my career. I can't put my finger on it, but there's something about this area that I love. I feel comfortable in my own skin in this great state. I've often said my soul was destined for Texas, but a hurricane swept it away to Florida.

In my spare time, I love watching college football and the Dallas Cowboys during the fall. I'll watch motor sports, but other than that, I wouldn't call myself a sports fanatic. I'd rather go to the movies (and, if you promise not to tell... I even like chick flicks).

I love history and I enjoy seeing where it was made. That may take me to the battlefields of Gettysburg, the Grand Place in Brussels, or the Cailler-Nestle chocolate factory in Broc, Switzerland...

I also love this great country of ours and I plan on seeing all of it. I've made a huge dent, but there is still much to be discovered. I have to go see Glacier National Park in Montana (before they're gone), Old Faithful in Wyoming, and the Badlands of South Dakota to name a few. (I must say though, for the life of me I have no idea why I would want to visit North Dakota... But there's got to be something there... maybe?? Well, I'm going to go just to see...)

I should also mention that I made a commitment to living a healthier lifestyle over a year ago. That includes working out on a regular basis with a personal trainer and making smarter choices with what I eat. Now, don't get me wrong - I'm a meat and potatoes kind of guy and that will never change (gotta have my BBQ), but there are certainly smarter choices that can be made along the way. I would like to find someone I can share that with.

And on the subject of who I'd like to spend my time with... One day I hope to settle down with a woman who will challenge me and help me look at the world in new and different ways. She'll have a caring heart and will enjoy snuggling next to me as we quietly watch a movie (or... maybe we won't be watching at all...)

With that said, I don't believe in making a list of qualities to look for in someone. There should certainly be some common core beliefs, but everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way. Sometimes the magic is there and sometimes it's not. If you keep an open mind, you just may run across someone who completely turns your world upside down. It's happened to me and it changed my perspective on what's important in life. So I don't make a list and I have no idea what the magic recipe is yet. But, I'll certainly recognize it when I see it.

I was born in New Orleans, then came to Dallas on a full scholarship for college. I got my degree in biology this past May. For now, I am working as a pharmacy tech until I go to school to be a physicians assistant. I love sports, especially football, but especially the Saints. I love spicy food, I even put tabasco on my eggs and pizza. I love red meat and would never give it up. I make friends easily and do need my time to be a guy, but I need someone soft and sweet to make my life a little easier. I have always held that I am complicated, but nearly every person who has ever really gotten to know me swears that I am pretty easy to figure out. I actually don't know how I feel about that. I am a union professional stage actor. I graduated from college in Boston two years ago, and have since been travelling around the country working for various regional theaters. I teach Freshman English at a highschool in CFBISD. An occupational hazard of my profession, or more likely a cause for choosing it in the first place, is being a book worm. I am. I've read everything from Gone with the Wind to Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (guess that makes it G to H... but you know what I mean). I'm not really a social butterfly, but the friends I have, I go to bat for. When they need me I'm there.

I look like I should be playing linebacker at first glance, but I never played high school football. Played some streetball, but I had arthritic knees. Anyway, point is, I'm actually a big nerd ina linebacker's body. Teacher's keep asking me what I want to coach....

Oh, and most of my friends throughout my life have been female. I've grew up with two guys who are like brothers to me, but they're pretty far away now. Well, that's it for this bit for now.

First, let me say that I am a very busy person. There is always something to be doing, and somehow it always manages to get done. I am adventurous at heart and love trying out something new whenever possible. I have been very happily married for over 10 years. I have three awesome boys (9, 6 & 3)and enjoy spending time with them as well. At work I am the manager of the regional total loss and salvage unit for an insurance company.

So far in my life, I have been an Eagle Scout, traveled to Germany, Switzerland, & Italy, climbed mountains, canoed down the Pecos, rode horses through the back country, dove with sharks in the Bahamas, and completed many other adventures. In addition to that my wife and I have explored playing with other couples, polyamory, and light BDSM (especially Shibari), all of which we continue to seek new experiences in.

So, what do I like to do? Outside of spending time with family, I enjoy throwing parties for my friends, SCUBA diving, camping, reading, playing on the computer, watching movies, and playing games (of any kind - currently running a D&D campaign and playing 40K). Hmmm... Trying to summarize one's self in a few paragraphs is not so simple. Friends, family and people are probably most important to me. The relationships we create with others keep us happy and healthy and it is vital for me to have strong relationships with those that are close with me. Beyond that, life is an adventure and regardless of your job or other responsibilities, you should enjoy all it has to offer. I love the outdoors and enjoy SCUBA diving and camping when time allows. I love reading and gaming, but don't have a huge amount of time for either. I enjoy hosting parties and throw several each year. I enjoy the Renaissance Faires and try to make to both Scarborough and TRF each year when I can. I enjoy traveling and have been to Germany & Italy as well as much of the United States.

On a more personal note, I'm married, but in an open relationship. I am very happy with my wife and have no intention of replacing her, but rather looking to try new, exciting adventures. I grew up in the Midwest with a strong work ethic. I believe that you should do it right the first time or don' t do it at all. Now, I have not always done it right the first time, but I gave it 100% when trying. I enjoy most types of music, depending on the mood. I prefer country, not the new stuff, but from the 70's, 80's and 90's. I have even been known to listen to rock and roll, jazz and classical when the mood hits. I am or have been very athletic. I am into football, basketball and soccer mostly. I officiate high school and college basketball, and high school football. This keeps me pretty busy.
